Building Update from Charlie

Dear Trinity, One hundred years ago, Wenatchee Church of the Brethren broke ground at the site of where we now gather weekly to worship. In the very near future Trinity Church will become the stewards of this building as Wenatchee Brethren Baptist Church (WBBC) transfers ownership to us. It has been a good process that has brought us to this point, and we have grown in our appreciation of our friends at WBBC. At our recent retreat, the Vestry officially voted to purchase the building. There are a few details to be finalized, documents to be signed and then closing. We anticipate announcing in September a campaign to restore the building and in conjunction with that an opportunity to also bless our community but more on that as the time approaches. Some of you are eager to give now towards the purchase and restoration of the building and we want to welcome your participation. We do have some immediate needs that will have financial implications. There is the $175,000 purchase price and then an engineering study of the HVAC system. Contributions can be designated to the “Building Fund.” We will share more and continue to brainstorm at the congregational meeting following each of the services this Sunday. Hope to see you then. Sincerely, Charlie Atkinson Warden

Couple of notes about Family Camp for those that have never been:

  1. It's not just for families with kids, but for our ENTIRE church family!

  2. It's gonna be really FUN.

  3. Usually, there's a mixture of outdoors, good teaching, delicious meals, worship, and lots of play :)
