Join a Team Sunday

Dear Trinity, In the path to belonging at our church, each person starts with six months of learning to rest as God’s child while you get acquainted with the rhythms of worship. It takes some time to adjust! And we like to give space for that good work to happen… After six months, we invite people to take the next step in their belonging journey by discerning which of our ministry teams they would like to join. We don’t do this because we’re trying to fill empty volunteer slots. We do this out of a belief that the church works best when everyone is fulfilling their particular role in the body. Part of the DNA of our Diocese is that it’s the laity (the people of God) — not ordained clergy — who are the primary ministers of the church. The church grows as all the people of God engage in the ministry He has given us. It’s because you have God-given work to do that we invite you to step into a particular ministry. We succeed when the whole body of Christ is doing their part. If you’ve been searching for a team to join — a place to use your gifts — then please come this Sunday to hear about a few particular opportunities we have as we come into the summer. (For your info, people generally serve once a month on their team.) We have Sunday teams, like communion and nursery, and mid-week teams, like the building team and the youth team. Looking forward to seeing what we can do together as we each step into the work God has for us. Sincerely, Pastor Carson

Nursery Families

Read this note from our new nursery team leader

Hello Nursery Families!

I hope this email finds you well and you're finding opportunities to enjoy this beautiful spring weather. I wanted to connect with you all and let you know that I am the new Nursery Coordinator at Trinity. I am so excited to step into this role and serve our body in this position!

For those of you whom I have not met or don't know yet, my name is Amanda Millheisler and I have been attending Trinity for about 4 years with my husband and our 3 boys - ages 13. 11, and (almost) 9. When I saw the need for Nursery Coordinator come up I really didn't think much of it. However, as it came up in announcements over several weeks, I felt the Spirit's gentle nudge to step forward - "You can do this!" He told me. As a former nursery mom myself, I have a special place in my heart for other mamas (and dads!) in the same season of parenting. I'm so excited to play even a tiny role in helping Sunday morning be a joyful one for both you and your little one.

I am just getting started and have some things to learn, but please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, input/ideas, etc. Also, if you or someone you know would like to join our nursery volunteers and serve in the nursery occasionally on Sunday morning, please connect with me! My phone number is below…

Peace to you,

Amanda Millheisler
