Summer Fun at Trinity

Dear Trinity,

The fun version of what I’m about to write is above in the video .

But for all you readers…here it is.

This summer is going to be F.U.N. That acronym doesn’t stand for anything, but please amuse us by making something up and sending it to the team. The S.F.T. (Summer Fun Team) has designed an epic S.F.A.T. adventure (Summer Fun at Trinity). And you won’t want to miss any part of the journey.

I’m grateful that Nate Kellogg is joining our staff part time for the summer while Matt is away on Sabbatical. He’s heading up these summer events as well as working with some of our teams and helping me with various pastoral and administrative duties. Thank you, Nate!

And as a reminder, any pastoral needs you have can be directed to me. My phone is 509.881.7737, and my email is carson@trinitywenatchee.org.

Here’s to F.U.N.

Sincerely,

Carson

This Sunday, Carson will continue our series with 1 Samuel 16:1-13, the story of ordinary David being chosen. For those of you that couldn't get the Eugene Peterson book on David before we ran out, we have more on order, and they will get here early next week! Please just hit reply to this email if you'd like us to reserve a copy for you.

Service Times: 8:30 and 9:45

Help for Ukraine

Rachel Whitson is working with other Wenatchee churches to help facilitate an upcoming supply collection for Ukraine and would love your help!

The collection date will be sent out in the near future but please start gathering supplies now!

The following items are needed:

  • Reusable totes and luggage

  • Medical supplies (over-the-counter medications, first aid items, etc…)

  • Hand tools (nothing that needs to be plugged in)

  • Non-perishable food (no chocolate, and nothing canned - for melting and weight reasons)

  • Hygiene supplies including infant and adult diapers

  • Tents and camping supplies

  • Bedding (gently used is fine)

  • Clothing, footwear, and household items (kitchen utensils, etc) in very good shape

They are also looking for additional facilitators, volunteers to help sort and pack, and vehicles and drivers willing to help with transport to Fife, WA.

Information about the collection date will be sent out soon. If you cannot hold onto the supplies until then or have any follow up questions, contact Rachel Whitson (509-885-6917) to get a collection time figured out.

** Urgently needed items such as medical supplies are being sent by air as they come in, and clothing and household items will be transported by ship and arrive 3-6 months from now. **
