I love working with children, encouraging volunteers, and bringing them together. As the Children’s Director I have the privilege of seeing God mysteriously help adults become more childlike during our Sunday school hour.
In Godly Play, we learn to let the Spirit work through the stories of God and wonder with the children as they share their unique and profound insights.
I have been deeply blessed to see these children grow into thoughtful and discerning youth as they continue their journey with God digging deeper into Scripture and navigating their complex lives.
During my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my husband, seeing our “6” grown kids (2 married), hiking, biking, swimming, reading and meeting with friends.
Attending Trinity, teaching a class on Worship at Whitworth University, and being the parent of two kids on the worship team has all blended together to lead to my role at Trinity of directing music and teaching liturgy.
I love when beauty intersects with truth, and that is what I am privileged to do - whether it is in my garden or on church on Sunday mornings! I've written a book on Calvin, but I'm not a hyper-Calvinist (except when I drink too much Mela coffee).

I am the father of four children, the son of an epic mother, and the giddy husband of my childhood sweetheart and best friend: Julie. I am also the brother of Mark & Brian, both of whom I am beating in my first ever fantasy football league. This is because my new year's resolution was to watch more television, because as a pastor I take life, and myself, too seriously. And if I really do publish this paragraph for my church bio, it will be evidence that Gollum is dying, Smeagol-Matt lives, and the Holy Spirit is helping me practice resurrection in Christ. So let's remember our baptisms, and enter together into the glorious freedom of the children of God! Ahhhh. That was refreshing.

In this season, I am a newbie father in every respect. First to my son, Emerson. And second, to our church where I am glad to serve in my dream role: equal part pastor/preacher and administrative/communications.
My wife and I have lived in California, Canada, and now Washington state. We love exploring the woods together and taking walks with our growing family (including our sweetie of a dog, Bovee). I delight in the creative process of cooking and sharing a meal with people. I love to make (or find) little nooks in the world to sit and muse. And I am renewed each week by baking bread and making music. Also, word to the wise: don’t get me near a plaque, or I will read it!
The Vestry is Trinity's leadership team.
They are called to the task of being formed in Christ as they help lead the church, represent its people, and serve as a guiding voice for its pastors.
Originally from East Texas, I have been married to Karla since 2004. Since then, we have moved between Washington and Texas multiple times. Our twin daughters Annesley and Addison are middle schoolers who love to read more than just about anything. Our Golden Doodle, Finnegan, was adopted after being found roaming the streets of south Wenatchee as a pup - probably not far from Trinity Church. I am a behavioral health agency administrator, as well as an introvert who enjoys solitude and writing, and whose favorite book is Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. My family lives in East Wenatchee.
Hi Family, my name is Nikki Fritz, beloved daughter of Abba ;) I am a small town girl with Idaho roots. In 2003, I married a Leavenworth boy named Rob. During the week, you can find me racking up miles shuttling our two girls, or living the “stage-mom” life. When not in mom mode, you can usually find me on the water, in deep conversation, or learning. My recent “studies” have included herbal medicine, pottery and St. Ignatian Exercises. In my life with Trinity, I am humbled and honored to represent you on the Vestry and assist in the Beatitude Kids class. My love language is hand-crafted beverages, in good company. I’d love to sit with you over a beverage and hear YOUR story.
I grew up near San Francisco and then following college moved to Portland where I met my wife Brenda. We moved to Wenatchee in 1992 to begin a job with a large orchard/vineyard operation. Prior to that I was on the Young Life staff. We have two adult sons who live in Wenatchee and two granddaughters. I continue to work in the ag industry, although part time now which affords me time for all types of skiing. My favorite author is Dallas Willard and I’ve been a lifelong fan of the SF Giants.
