Hi Trinity Church,
Did you know that every Sunday night six different groups of youth from our church meet and open God’s Word with the intention of finding Jesus? Above you’ll find a picture of the stones that our ninth-grade girls have created to remember who they have seen God to be in chapters one and two of John’s Gospel. Redeemer, Refuge, the One Who Draws us to Himself, the Word who is God, One of Us, the Light of Men. These are just some of the names of Christ our girls have found. They are learning he invites them to draw near to Him as they go about their everyday lives.
It has been the privilege of the adults (including myself) to gather with these middle school and high school students to hear about the highs and lows of their weeks and to receive their insights and wonderings about Scripture. We adults are being blessed as we listen to the younger ones in our congregation share.
It is our hope to create more spaces like this, where we are invited together, across generations, to listen and learn and grow in Christ together. Holy Week is coming up, and we have added an opportunity we hope many will take part in. It will be a simple engaging video about Jesus for youth and adults, with the opportunity to listen and discuss and draw near to Him as we draw near to each other. Mark your calendars for an “All About Jesus” night, Tuesday, April 4, at 7pm. Let’s fill the sanctuary with the intent of finding Jesus together.

Easter Silent Prayer Vigil

Be still and know that I am God, says Psalm 46. I love this line because it is all about experience: know that I am God. But let’s talk straight: it takes some time in silence to develop this knowing.
Which means this is your lucky day! (Or should I say lucky Easter?)
This Easter, Trinity has silent seats available! Yes, you too can take part in Trinity’s 24-hour silent prayer vigil starting at 5:30 am on Saturday, April 8, and ending Easter morning at 6:24 am.
Why 6:24 you ask? That’s when the sun rises and the ecstatic dancing in the parking lot begins! (True story - a small band of us started the tradition last year. Don’t miss.)
So consider signing up for a 2-hour period.
And if two hours alone in an old church seems daunting, I can help! Free silent-coaching available. (Also, if the kids or the work schedule doesn’t allow for 2-hours, see if you can’t stop by the church sometime on Saturday for a shorter spell.)
Our Savior knew the power of connecting with his Father in silence. Jesus yearns for us all to know such an intimacy. This Easter, come and see.
Blessings,
Guy Evans
ps. If all of this silence talk intrigues you or scares you, I would love to hear more. Drop me a text: (509) 670-3608. This is an ancient practice with many on-ramps.
Nursery Coordinator Needed
Hey Trinity - Late last summer, our volunteer Nursery Coordinator had to move on from the position after a year of faithful service. (Thank you Sarah Duffey!) Since that time, our Children’s Director, Julia Barger and Susannah Kellogg have been filling in so that Nursery can continue to operate for the blessing of all the parents. (Thank you Julia and Susannah!) We are in need of a Nursery Coordinator in order to continue this important ministry. Are you gifted as a coordinator / leader? Do you have a heart for this ministry? As a staff, we come alongside all our volunteer leaders with resources, training, and practical support. We lead in community, and do our best to empower people to lead in their own unique way and to build great teams that bless the body of Christ. If this peaks your interest, please reach out to Pastor Carson at carson@trinitywenatchee.org or 509.881.7737.
