Parenting Conference: Weekend of Grace and Truth

Weekend of Grace and Truth

Encouragement for parents and singles, grandparents, aunts, uncles spiritual parents and the whole family of God! January 27th, 28th & 29th

We are so excited to bring Christy Penley to lead conversations and share her experience working with kids in many different settings over the last 20 years. She brings her honest and hopeful heart to inspire parents facing today's challenges. Sessions will be interactive and engaging. This is not just for parents, it's a time for all of us to reflect on parenting, being a child, and healthy family dynamics we face each decade of our life.

Epiphany Feast Tomorrow

January 6 @ 6pm

We will end the 12 days of Christmas with our Epiphany Feast on January 6. This is one of our largest celebrations of the year, with food, song, and a Scottish Ceilidh (traditional line dancing). Important notes:

  • Please bring a side dish to share.

  • BYOB. Feel free to bring any non-alcoholic drinks or beer/wine.

  • Dress up; this is a party!

  • Wear (or bring along) good footwear for dancing. Flats or tennis shoes with softer soles are best. Heels are tricky.

Small Groups

We will be starting several small groups in mid-January on various topics. If you’re interested in leading one, reach out to Carson to talk about your idea.

In February, we will start a 4 week Sabbath Study in local parish homes using Practicing the Way material. We greatly enjoyed their Lenten study we did as a congregation last year. Within these small groups, we will gather together to share a meal, watch a video and enjoy discussion with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Start the New Year with the habit of Sabbath. If you are interested in hosting a Sabbath Group, please speak with Guy Evans. You can reach him at 509-670-3608.

On the same topic, our friends at Christ Church (Austin, TX) have asked if we could beta test a 6-week curriculum on Justice & Mercy (as part of a wider initiative called Matthew 25) that will eventually be made available to all parishes in the ACNA. There is leader training, a complete curriculum and a facilitation guide available. If you’re interested in potentially leading this kind of group, you can get in contact with Carson.

Baptism Class

Jan 17 and 24 @ 7pm in the church office

If you or your child are interested in baptism, please join us as we discuss the reason for baptism and the practicalities of the baptism event.

Congregational Meeting

January 22 @ 5pm

Newcomers Dinner

February 11 @ 6pm Location TBD

If you are new to our church in the last year, and haven't attended one of our newcomers dinners, we'd love to meet you and share stories around a dinner table at a host home in our parish.

Come meet other newcomers as well as one of our pastors and staff members, and find out how you can take the next step in your path to belonging at Trinity Church.
