Marriage Tune-Up
Dear Trinity, Every marriage gets stuck. Whether it’s issues you can’t seem to resolve. Or conversations that are off-limits because someone will blow up. Or continual tensions that create distance. What we want is intimacy, connection, and friendship. We need our spouse to be able to listen to us at a deep level. But it’s impossible to get there if you don’t know how to get unstuck. Seven years ago, Lauren and I were invited to something called a “Marriage Tune-Up.” And I am so glad we went because honestly…it was a turning point in our relationship. Dave and Nancy Harper gave us the tools we needed to get unstuck, and to start to move toward health and mutual understanding. They empowered us to have conversations we didn’t dare have alone. That’s why we are so excited to introduce you to them on March 17-18 at the Marriage Tune-Up for Trinity Church. They are coming from their home in Canada to be with us in Wenatchee for the weekend! And you won’t want to miss this chance to grow your marriage…to get resourced with tools that you can actually take home and use confidently. We care about your marriage, and Lauren and I pray for your marriage regularly! If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me at 509-881-7737. Can’t wait for this weekend together. Carson
Ash Wednesday (A Letter from Pastor Matt)
February 22 @ 7pm
This Wednesday is one of my favorite services of the year: Ash Wednesday. I never had this service as a child, and as a result, Easter usually came too quickly, and meant a pastel basket filled with grass and candy. Lent helps us prepare for the mystery of Easter. Can we really celebrate the Resurrection when we have avoided participating in Christ's Death? Lent is kicked off all over the world with the ancient service of Ash Wednesday - a service of repentance - where we remember that we were created from dust, and will return to dust. We are physically marked with the sign of the cross to remind us of an inner journey toward the cross that we are embarking upon because we are forgetful. We need this again and again. I love the story that . . .

ALPHA Course - new update below
Wednesdays from 6-8pm (March 15 - May 3)
Over the last few weeks you have heard about the Alpha course that Trinity is hosting starting March 15th. I’m so excited to be a part of this 11-week course that offers a welcoming environment for seekers, skeptics, and cynics to have a low-key way to explore the life of Christ and the foundations of Christian faith. The early life of the Church was built upon invitations to come and see and join the community through the sharing of a meal and intentional conversation. I hope the Lord has been laying on your heart those in your life who might have an interest in Alpha. We will have invitation cards at church this week that can be used to invite your friends. You can also go to the church website or Alpha.org for more information. If you are interested in previewing the first Alpha series video, click here. If you regularly attend Trinity and are interested in going through the Alpha course as a participant, please talk to Father Matt or Father Carson. If you are interested in being a part of our prayer team or meal team, or would be willing to provide a dessert sometime during the course, please email me at timdillman@icloud.com.

From Linda Congdon: This year, I published my first book, Planted by Love. It is my story of being given up at birth and adopted. It is available as a paperback or on Kindle. When I was a small child in the early 1950's, my adoptive parents read me a story book about a mother and father going to a special place and choosing a child to become part of their family. The emphasis of this story was that an adopted child was special because they were chosen, which is true. But I had no idea that half of the story was missing. Who were my natural parents and why was I given up? What was my story? I wouldn't even start asking those questions until I was 38, when I suddenly had the unsolicited thought, "you have a natural father." This thought would prove to be the key that the Author of my life would use to bring me in touch with my heart and my true story.
