Family Camp is Coming!

No services at Trinity this weekend (July 3). It’s Worship in the Parish!

Dear Trinity, The time has come... The moment we have been waiting for all summer has finally arrived... Trinity Church Family Camp 2022 registration is finally open! We don't mean camp just for families, we mean camp for the whole Trinityfamily, so whether you come alone or with your whole family you're a part of the fam!

We are so excited for a weekend all together at Tall Timber Ranch out past Plain. This will be a wonderful opportunity to spend some extended time together as a whole church, no first and second service crowd, just TrinityChurch Family! Tall Timber Ranch’s motto is “Disconnect to Reconnect”, that means there’s no wifi, no cell service, no Netflix, no social media, just face to face relationships! (For those who are worried: the Ranch does have a land line in case of emergency). This year we have invited Dr. Ken Garrett from Portland, OR to be our speaker. Ken is a very dear friend of Nate and Susannah Kellogg’s and was their pastor while they lived in Portland. Ken pastors a church in downtown Portland, is the author of a book called “In the House of Friends: Understanding and Healing from Spiritual abuse in Christian Churches” and cares for anyone who comes his way who has experienced hurt or trauma from Spiritual abuse. For more information you can check out his book or there are two helpful podcasts from Food Trucks in Babylon called “Spiritual Abuse in the Church” Part 1 and Part 2. Pastor Ken’s focus during our sessions will be on what it looks like to be a healthy church community and the way that shapes how we engage our parish. He will also be leading an optional workshop on the topic of spiritual abuse and talking about the process of walking the healing journey. There is so much more to be said about the weekend but here are a few highlights:

  • You can show up at Tall Timbers August 12th at 5:00pm for check in and we will be packing up to head back home Sunday after our church service in the outdoor lodge.

  • For those planning to stay in cabins the cost will be $70 for those 11 and older, $40 for kids 5-10 and free for those 4 and under! There is also an option to bring your RV or Tent out to the grounds for a slight discount as well (see registration page for all the details). If this is too much of a financial burden at this time please do not hesitate to reach out to Nate Kellogg (360.999.9712) and we would love to help.

  • Our postponed Talent/No Talent night will take place under the new name of “Trinity Showcase” so brush up on the talent you want to share with your church family (bonus points if it involves all or most of your family!)

  • There will be hikes, late night games for teens and adults, times of worship, delicious food, a climbing wall, leisure time, guided morning prayers and so much more!

There are still details to be finalized so more will come, in the meantime: please register online, mark your calendars, ask any questions you may have and start to pray for our time out at Tall Timber Ranch! Nate Kellogg

Conversational Spanish and Culture Group Thursdays 12:00-1:00 pm @ Trinity Church July 7 - August 4
