Face to Face Pamphlet and Christmastide

Dear Trinity,

Last Sunday we sang, “and the world is about to turn.” It was a fitting line as we came to the close of Advent season where we waited and watched and wondered and prepared for our Savior to come. Then, just like that, Christmas: the light of the world came to be with us - God as a baby - with whom we could be face to face. Who would have thought this was even possible?

This next Sunday, as we look toward the new year and all that it holds, may we continue to be amazed at the invitation God gives us into being face to face with Him, our neighbors, and ourselves in Christ. If you haven’t already, pick up a Trinity Face-to-Face brochure, and let’s begin to imagine how we might say yes to the impossibilities of God at work in our lives in 2024.

With you in Christ,

Nicole Hunter

PS.  The Christmastide Prayer Book, including the weekly lectionary readings, are available.  Get a paper copy at the church or a digital copy here

Trinity's Inaugural House Blessings

An old Christian tradition celebrates Epiphany with a practice and house blessing known as Chalking the Doors. The chalk, as it slowly wears throughout the year, serves as a reminder that Christ dwells with us wherever we are, and that our home is a missionary outpost of His kingdom. The initials "C.M.B." can represent the names of the 3 Wise Men, but it also represents the Latin phrase Christus Mansionem Benedicat…. "May Christ Bless This House."  For several years now on Epiphany (Jan 6th) we've given out pieces of chalk and short instructions for how to do this yourself.

But for the first time, you can request that one of our pastors come to your house on the weekend of Epiphany and pronounce a blessing on your home as we chalk the doors together!

Just sign up using this form, and fill out your home address. We'll be in touch about when we can visit your home and walk through a short liturgy together.

May Christ bless your home in 2024.
