Coming Up This Week...

Dear Trinity,

If you missed last week’s sermon on 2 Samuel 1 / Lament (or, it might be aptly titled, “How to get through what you’re going through”), you can listen to it here or watch it here.

David has so much to teach us week to week, and I look forward to preaching this Sunday on 2 Samuel 2-4, which is the story of David’s anointing as King of Judah. Under this “new situation,” as Eugene Peterson calls it, will David continue to seek God’s face? To be reliant upon Him? Will he do God’s work, God’s way? The Sons of Zeruiah are trying to help David as he begins the work of being king, but their helping quickly turns into hurting, and the contrast between their ways and David’s is unmistakable.

This Sunday after the second service, I hope you join us at Walla Walla Park for the all church BBQ! Sign up here… It’s a great opportunity to be together, to connect, and to have some summer fun! Please bring a side and dessert to share - we will provide the meat!

See you soon,

Carson

P.S. - Don’t forget to register for our All Church Family Camp, Aug 12-14! Spots are filling up fast…and the deadline is just 2 weeks away… link is below

Conversational Spanish and Culture Group Thursdays 12:00-1:00 pm @ Trinity Church July 7 - August 4

For the next five weeks, Ingalls Creek Fellows, Meredith Navarro and Isaac Price, will lead a lunchtime lesson about Mexican culture and basic conversational Spanish. This is a drop in group but coming each week is really beneficial. Please join us for this wonderful opportunity!

BBQ at Walla Walla Park

This Sunday July 17 - After Second Service

This Sunday (July 17th) right after the second service we will all head over to Walla Walla park and meet at Shelter Number Two (the one on the south end of the park, see map below) for a bbq lunch. Please RSVP online and, if you can, bring a side and dessert to share. You also may want to bring bug spray because the mosquitoes are bad this year!

Family Camp at Tall Timbers

August 12-14

Registration for Family Camp is now open for August 12-14th at Tall Timbers. Registration will be closed on July 31st so please be sure to register online before then. Here are a few things to consider about the weekend:

- You do not have to have a family or bring your family to come to the weekend.Singles, married folks, and families are all welcome. During the three teaching sessions there will be childcare provided for kids ages 2-10.

- The sleeping arrangements are somewhat flexible: you can request to have a cabin with only your family, you can ask for a room just for yourself, or you can let us know if you don’t mind sharing. We will try our best to work with your requests.

- We also want to share with you that we think family camp is so important that the church is covering half the price for everyone. Once you register, the prices reflected are half the actual cost of the weekend. We value this weekend and we want to make it as affordable as possible for all to come! If this price is still too high for your family please let us know and we will gladly help out! If you would like to sponsor a family to come who may be having financial difficulty please also let us know.
